With the relative proximity and all the small towns in between, it really does seem like we’re trending toward an eventual DFW situation. Then the question becomes whether or not we eventually see an I-10N/I-10S split like they have with I-35. We’re the largest city in the country with only one interstate, so I wouldn’t rule out the possibility if we continue to outpace national growth trends.

Austin was another name for Augustine (as in missionary to the English), so San Austin works theologically.
