Personally I found 6 to not be as fun as 5. I still play 5 all the time but I lost interest with 6 after less than 100 hours.

Still though, for that price I'd pick it up just to have tried it.

If you haven’t already tried the DLCs, you should. AI gets very improved and the behaviour is much more normal and humanlike.

There are things I like and dislike about both, but the district mechanic is something I find hard to live without.

If the writing is bad, it's okay to close the book.

If the acting is poor, it's okay to leave the cinema.

If the gameplay is unsatisfying, it's okay to quit.

Life is short. No sense in wasting it on entertainment that isn't entertaining.

I was just joking that when with that much time spent they hadn't finished a game

Heh. I guess subtlety doesn't come through very well in messages between internet strangers.

I have done at least one full playthrough of Civ 6 from ancient era until somebody scored a victory. I did a couple other playthroughs that I ended early. Ultimately I just felt like the whole time I wanted to play Civ 5 more

Has native Linux support, but if you are playing with friends or other online multiplayer I would recommend the proton version as sometimes updates lag behind.

Native support. 👍 I haven't played it yet, but at this price I'll give it a try.

The problem with 6 is that the play mode is too structured... Especially early on. Theres not much room for custom play... Every game takes on the same form. Civ 4 was the best in series

Was free on Epic at some point so check if you already have it if you are someone who claims the free games there

Civ6 was buggy as hell on Switch. Anyone know if it's stable on PC?

I want the hours I played back before it corrupted my game save, so $3 is still be too much to ask, to me.
