Recent news says a debris field was found, so they are definitely dead.

I would rather have 60FPS, but it its a smooth 30 it won’t be unbearable.

I’m pretty sure that only the original 360 models suffer from the Red Ring. The redesigns usually don’t suffer from them. I can’t comment on the PS3, though.
