What they need to do is outlaw or heavily restrict the ability to take a loan out of the value of an asset in stock if they can readily afford the liquid amount

If Elon wants to buy Twitter he should have sold $44 bil in his stock to buy it rather than take a loan out based on the $200+ bil and then have a consortium to fill in the rest. And if that trickles down to the middle class so that people can't take a loan off their house so be it.
