I've only been here for like 36 hours, but I agree that this site/app could be a great replacement for reddit. Obviously we need more users (which will hopefully come with time), and more options when it comes to clans, but I understand the tech issues behind that and it sounds like the devs are working on it.

That said, here's my critique so far:

Pros:

The UI is sleek

Inline images & videos seem to work fairly well

The devs seen responsive to suggestions & criticism

Cons:

The avatar creation thing needs work. The sliders are janky and we need more options.

Scrolling and swiping are a bit too aggressive. It should take more than a slight finger movement left or right to upvote/downvote a post.

We need some granularity on the haptic feedback. I don't want my phone to vibrate every time I vote on a comment or post.

Probably the best Ui out of any of the Reddit alternatives I have tried so far… and you can actually post images! Would love to start and/or join a science community here on Spyke.

I think only the admins can do that right now, but I’ll be the first member of the Science group when it gets going

We used to call them klans, but we changed the name to clans after we discovered what KKK was.
