Coming to terms with being average

Coming to terms with being average

Throughout my life I have always been told to find my purpose and passion. But honestly, now I feel I no longer want to do that. I have a secure job and a great family. Instead of chasing a high salary I would rather deliver to the best of my abilities and focus and managing a good work life balance.

Coming to terms with averageness needs to be normalised. Not everyone can be elon Musk and everyone shouldn't strive to be either.

You have achieved it dude. I also go through phases of guilt and feel like I have having not pushed myself hard enough at a few points in my career.

However, At the end of the day being content is what matters the most. I don't think most of us want to live in a world where everyone is super motivated to achieve their individual maximum.

That would be a world full of jealous and backstabbing.

Great. You have come to the realisation that most people come to in their 60's. Accumulation of wealth should not be the end game.
