Why is delhi so polluted compared to other metropolitan cities of India?

Mumbai has highest population density and, kolkata chennai and bangalore are also densely populated but only delhis air is unfit for breathing.

Also there is a HUGE difference between no.1 and No.2

Definitely! Also closer coast = more rainfall = better air quality

Actually there’s a lot of states around Delhi that burn crops which causes a lot of smog
