I am the 3rd point kinda guy because no book ceases my attention that much and also i dont have that much time to spare for a book and i dont like to read a book for small portions of time
Tbh it depends. I try my best to read each chapter line by line.
Sometimes end up skipping a paragraph or two if I feel it doesn't matter.
When reading a textbook though I just glance a page and I straight up skip it if I already know the info, move to a place where the info is new and interesting.
I like the jump across paragraphs based on how interesting it is. Sometimes tho when I do skip a boring para I end up missing out on some plot and then I have to go back all the way smh

The last time I read a book not out of necessity was Enid Blyton and Tinkle no cap
