The anti AI slop crowd needs to shut the fuck up
I've seen many actual legit digital artists getting hit with the cries of AI slop and even banned, when they have been making art for years before AI was even a thing. People actually can't tell the difference half the time when they think they can, and end up hurting real artists.
Not just artists. There seems to grow a kind of AI paranoia that suspects AI everywhere. Benign posts that are a little longer than usual or use a uncommon word: AI SLOP!!!!!1!!!1. Maybe the poster is just a non-native speaker or neurodivergent. I agree to most reasons to hate AI but calling it out everytime there is just the slightest hint is annoying at least

Why some programs, like anydesk or sql, are started with the system?
Those processes are server processes and they are supposed to always run in the background. In that way they are ready to be accessed by client software immediately. For why they are root: often but not always servers need elevated privileges, e.g. to open ports below 1024 or read restricted files.

Are you or do you live in a country where organized crime exists?
Reply in thread
I would say yes. I couldn't think of a country without organized crime. It doesn't always have a fancy name and maybe it is very lowkey, but this I'd take as a sign of being well organized.

Once lunar colonies are established, would they attempt to break away? What would independent lunar republics look like?
Heinlein explored how a lunar colony could develop in "The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress". He thinks it will move towards some kind of anarcho-capitalist society that will fight for independence from earth. His ideas on how a predominantly male society will result in polygamy are somewhat weird but fascinating.

So you rather cone here complaining instead of trying to resolve what could have been a mistake? Not having interacted is a sign for me that it is not intentional.

Why can't you post a real shitpost on shitpost@lemmy?
Let me guess, you posted some racist or homophobic slop and now you act surprised that most people on Lemmy think this is offensive?

Ok, seems we have different ideas of what a real ddos attack is. I was thinking level 3 attacks.

I think I will try a combination if dawarich and FMD. Any reason other apps like colota are preferred to the dawarich app on the device?

Why aren't driverless cars common everywhere today?
As it stands today, unmanned vehicles (entirely operated by AI with no human intervention) still has shortcomings from accidents or collisions.
