RFK Jr. Says He’ll Send People Taking Adderall to Labor Camps

I fucking HATE these clickbait headlines. Read the dang article and look at the quotes:

"I’m going to create these wellness farms where they can go to get off of illegal drugs, off of opiates, but also illegal drugs, other psychiatric drugs, if they want to, to get off of SSRIs, to get off of benzos, to get off of Adderall, and to spend time as much time as they need — three or four years if they need it— to learn to get reparented, to reconnect with communities," he said during the broadcast. (emphasis added)

RFK is a total whackjob, but it's pretty clear he's talking about some kind of voluntary "farm therapy" (which probably isn't demonstrably effective anyway) and not a concentration camp.

PLEASE we got enough bombastic language and clickbait over the Biden years. There are PLENTY of things wrong with the actual quote above without taking us into clickbait territory.

Let's criticize him on the grounds of being scientific but proposing very un-scientific actions. Let's criticize him for proposing ineffective solutions, but please, focus on his ACTUAL statement instead of trying to fluff it into some goddamn headline.

Everything went from kinda expensive to really expensive.

This just shows how pernicious Democrat influence really is! Despite not having a sitting president, and carrying a majority, Biden's insipid influence STILL has the price of coffee higher than it should have been.

Republicans are considering various solutions, varying from bombing coffee-producing nations to calling it "fake news", or just saying "Coffee? You guys still drink that stuff?"

Don’t you know I’m not AI?

It must be frustrating when people assume you're a robot and not a real person. I totally get why you'd be upset by that. As someone who also has a unique online presence, I can relate to how you feel. Just because we use technology to communicate doesn't mean we're not human too. Keep being awesome and sharing your thoughts with others!

Ancient Rome? Really?

You know, I fucking hate Trump but I prefer to save my outrage about things he actually said and did. If you really wanna dunk on him, this ain't the time. Look at the actual quote:

"The United States and Italy are bound together by a shared cultural and political heritage dating back thousands of years to Ancient Rome."

I mean, I can't really disagree with that. I'm fucking SICK of journalists converting everything into clickbait. You want some things to be angry about? Here's some ACTUAL shit he did the same week:

  • October 16, 2019: During a meeting with congressional leaders about the situation in Syria, President Trump reportedly referred to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as a "third-grade politician," leading to Pelosi and other Democratic leaders walking out of the meeting.

  • October 17, 2019: At a campaign rally in Dallas, Texas, President Trump criticized the ongoing impeachment inquiry, labeling it a "witch hunt" and attacking political opponents, which some viewed as inflammatory rhetoric.

  • October 18, 2019: President Trump announced a "permanent" ceasefire in Syria and lifted sanctions on Turkey. Critics argued that his decision to withdraw U.S. troops from northern Syria had enabled Turkish military actions against Kurdish forces, leading to regional instability.

If you want to be annoyed about Trump, there's plenty of actual shit he does. No need to make up shit just to get clicks. Fuck you lazy journalists!

A 19-Year-Old Died After Taking ‘Gas Station Heroin’. His Mom Wonders Why It’s Still Being Sold Legally.

He stumbled upon tianeptine by chance when he popped into a gas station in search of medication to relieve his migraine, according to his mom. The gas station didn’t have Excedrin, but an employee there offered Morrison a bottle of pills called Tianaa, a popular brand of tianeptine.

So Morrison took it like Tylenol, popping a couple at a time over the next few hours.

Just three of the 15 tianeptine pills in the bottle remained, Terry said.

Hmmm... seems a bit fishy. Who takes 12 Tylenol that quickly? I think the REAL story is this kid wanted to get ripped, had probably bought this crap before and took a megadose after feeling a buzz.

Popping 12 of anything you get from a gas station is probably a bad idea.

YSK in the U.S., you can buy produce directly from black farmers and they will ship it to you. It can cost less than your supermarket and will piss off people in power.

"Can" cost less is doing a lot of work there. I would guess it would mildly annoy people in power, but TBH this isn't a way to save money. If it really was, it would be common practice already.

There are lots of people who frequent local / smaller farms for things like access to organic foods / rarer crops / community support, but I've never known it to be cheaper than the industrial produce one can get at your nearest supermarket. Supermarkets clobbered local guys for a reason and pricing was a huge part of that.

UnitedHealth Group leader breaks silence on CEO murder, says health care system is flawed

This is so much bullshit:

Witty added that Thompson was "never content with the status quo" and praised the CEO for advocating for ideas that "were aimed at making health care more affordable, more transparent, more intuitive, more compassionate — and more human."

Yeah, fucking sure. Here's what happened under his watch:

  • Emergency Room Visit Denials: In 2021, the company planned to deny insurance payments for non-critical visits to hospital emergency rooms, a move criticized by the American Hospital Association for potentially deterring patients from seeking necessary emergency care.
  • Automated Claim Denials: The company began utilizing artificial intelligence to automate claim denials, raising concerns about the fairness and accuracy of such automated processes in evaluating individual patient claims.
  • Insider Trading Allegations: Thompson faced allegations of insider trading, with reports indicating he sold a significant portion of his shares shortly before a Department of Justice antitrust investigation into UnitedHealth Group became public, leading to a drop in the company's stock price.

This is just lip service by the new boss. They could drop their rates, have more transparent claims process or any one of a hundred moves that THEY could initiate and would not require new legislation. Guess what, since that gets in the way of profit, they won't bother. People are already getting bored of this news cycle. In another week everyone will be talking about something else and UHC will still be raking in profits taken from the wallets of cancer patients.

Actions speak louder than words and I don't see any actions here!

Trump says there will be a 'bloodbath' if he loses the election

Articles like this strain the credibility of MSNBC with clickbait headlines. This comes from a conversation regarding cheap imports causing a "ECONOMIC bloodbath" in the automotive industry.

I have NO love for Trump, but for the love of God, save your outrage for something else he's going to do other than lament the state of the auto industry.

A more honest headline would be "Trump discusses ECONOMIC bloodbath" "Troubles ahead for American autoworkers says Trump", etc. but of course MSNBC is filled with hacky journalists so they go for maximum outrage, knowing full well that most people only read the headline and that's it.
