Ain't doing so great
I had a snippet above my desk that said something like: angry? -> music, sad? > Excersise etc. Then, when I got really bad in my head I tore it off and ripped it up. Now I have a snippet of Tyler Durden with the quote: "if you feel bad, everybody you hate wins."
And that actually, really fucking works for me.

Debunking All the B.S. About Zohran Mamdani
Reply in thread
jezus, are you a professional nitpicker or just some shill trying to discredited mr. Mamdani?
In said document he carefully explains that New York tax law is racist to begin with; https://s28299.pcdn.co/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/CAH-tax-lien-sale-report-final.pdf, and he wants to end that system so everyone has more equal opportunities.
He wants to END racist housing policies, not start a fucking race war.

DOOM: The Dark Ages Has Reportedly Sold Less Than 1 Million Copies
I'm one of the biggest fans of the DOOM franchise, I've played all the versions since the original one in 1993. But I don't care if I play it now or in half a year. Or a year for that matter. Never really understood why having it first matters to anyone. I'll be here when the prices drop.
I was stupid enough to buy Spacemarine 2, when it came out, at full price (mostly because I loved Boltgun so much) and that was a great lesson about how you should wait around a bit before actually buying a game. It would have been a fun game for 15 or even 20 euro, but it's not worth 70 euro. I Should have bought Helldivers, anyway 😓

money filters out useless endeavours.
That might have been true once, if ever, but it's certainly not true anymore. Actually fabulation is where most of the money is. Most 'investors' have gotten rich by accident and by an incredible amount of luck. They will tell you it was hard work, swear and blood but that is never true, it's being born in the right family and being in the right place at the time. These people aren't any smarter or better then you and me. And are just as susceptible to bullshit as you and me. Maybe even more so, because they think there exceptional skill has gotten them where they are. This means they will put there money quite easily in any endeavour that sounds plausible and/or profitable on their mind, but what usually is complete nonsense. What is more, once a few of these have put money on the table, fomo kicks in and all the bro's from the gym want in too, kicking of a cycle of complete and utter waste of money. All the while, telling everyone that this, THIS, this what the have put money on, is the next big thing.

The phrase "eat the rich" has a very different meaning in Dutch history
No it hasn't, almost nobody in holland actually knows the story or cares.
What is more, the de Witt brothers were more like moderate statesmen who were progressive and not even that rich in comparison. They were besieged by Orangist who were paid for and cheered on by the King who wanted these progressives out of his way.
So in all it was more like the rich setting up the poor to besiege the moderates ( and, yes, the lynching led to peasants actually taking bites)

Believe it or not, until today, I had never seen the original RoboCop (1987).
He also made the flop Showgirls
Well yes, it was a flop at the time and even got awarded a razzie. But Paul Verhoeven actually came to the award show to collect it, and tell the audience that showgirls would become a cult classic. Which it did.
Paul Verhoeven is a legend.

The real origin of the Terracotta Army (Centurii-chan)
The way the terracotta army is depicted is a bit lame, one of the cool features of the army is that all soldiers are actually different, each with its own distinct features.
They vary in height, uniform, and hairstyle in accordance with their portrayed rank. Their faces appear to be different for each individual figure.

Remembering Descent, the once-popular, fully 3D 6DOF shooter
The author failes to mention that some of the Original creators went on and made Overload, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overload_(video_game), a modern descent version. It even supports vr (which is awesome). A bit lazy journalism tbh
