Ebook/Manga/Light Novel manager recommendation?
Komga is always mentioned as a good option for this. I use it for books, manga, and comics, but my requirements are quite minimal (koreader sync, opds, and mihon), so it might not work for you exactly.
I do metadata fetching using komf, documentation is a bit lacking but once setup is pretty good (I use it for both manga and comics) and it does everything automatically. There is also a browser extension that provides a UI for it. For comics sometimes I use ComicTagger for manually reviewing tags too. I would just read carefully the folder structure Komga expects if you go with that, to avoid having weird surprises :)

Advice for a collaborative text editor
I would go for hedgedoc if the team can switch to markdown, otherwise Cryptpad to stay in an office-like suite.
If you already have nextcloud then that + collabora should be good enough. Otherwise installing the whole nextcloud suite just for collaborative editing seems like a lot imho.

As an academic, yes, please pirate stuff.
Fuck parasites publishers that make profit on our unpaid job and gatekeep knowledge.
A nice read about publishers profits: Against Parasite Publishers: Making Journals Free or if someone prefer the newspaper format

What hill will you die on?
It should be illegal for vehicles so noisy that I can hear from kilometers away to drive inside cities and close to people.

Recipes, Meal Planning, and Shopping List
I am currently using Mealie with docker, which being a containers noob seemed easier to setup compared to Tandoor. I have it behind tailscale as well.
Mealie works well for what I need to do, I don't plan in advance yet, but I just import recipes and it works 9 out 10. I will need to try the shopping list features sooner or later.
There is no mobile app that I am aware of but the webpage works perfectly on mobile with a bookmark.

How often do you go to concerts?
Not at all since I got tinnitus :(
I never went too much but I enjoyed them from time to time, I tried to go only for bands I really loved and were unmissable (I still can't forgive myself for not going to a Linkin Park concert). Not sure I would enjoy now with all the crowd, plus the rising costs. I would prefer a pub or something similar to stadiums for sure.
Merch is usually super expensive so unless I can't find it anywhere else, not really.

Whats getting on your nerves at the moment?
Family or rally any retired person who doesn't understand that you are working and trying to survive in this fucked-up word, and get upset when you can't take days off whenever they please, trying to guilty-trapping you or just being condescending about you being busy.

Has anyone tested yunohost?

Same process here, started with yunojost and now using docker directly. Still Yunohost got me into self-hosting when I didn't know anything about it, definitely recommended for starting out.

I feel you, I have it permanent as well and similar story about LP. Luckily compared to other horror stories I read, mine seems relatively "low" so I am thankful for that. In my case it was a couple of hi-fi headphones and amp thanks to a shitty person who made me believe that if you don't blast your wars you cannot feel everything a system like that has to offers.

[Discussion] What's your stance on "looter" elements in soulslikes?
I don't mind as long as I am not forced to use it as extensively as some min-maxers do. Most of the time I just want to play and I don't want to lose too much time to calculate all the possible combinations for the perfect build or meta, I just want to have fun with the gameplay and story.
Of course I understand that for others min-maxing is part of the fun and that's absolutely good, but it's not too much for me and I am very pleased when a game offers me the chance to just go on with the story.

I agree with LibreCalc and CSV, in some internationalclasses we always had issues with excel saving CSV in actually different formats depending on the machine locale. LibreCalc never had this problem.

Rewritten application/golden rules (for simplicity) - Sense check
Would've kept one of Stallman/Torvalds/Kropotkin for us oldies :P but apart from that looks great!
I agree with @[email protected]'s second point about rule 4.
