Bet this will be used in court.
Jokes aside about Elon being an idiot about this Twitter/Threads thing, that's a parody account, not actually Elon Musk, so it won't likely be used in court unfortunately.

My laptop came with Office pre-installed but I have this banner showing up every time I open it, is there a way to disable it for good?

ELI5: Why did LED notification lights silently got removed from phone?
Reply in thread
passive display
This is the real answer for OP. Those lights were replaced. Maybe OP (and maybe me as well, I haven't really thought about it) would prefer to still have the notification LED, but to the hardware manufacturers they replaced those with something "cooler".

How often do you brush your teeth?

Doesn't your mouth taste bad if you just don't do it regularly? Honestly even general hygiene concerns aside, I'd do it twice a day just to get the fresh feeling. Maybe you could try some different toothpastes to find one that makes you really want to do it and not just feel like it's something you should do?

TIL you can edit your post title on lemmy unlike reddit.

But what will he then change that to to make all of the comments seem crazy?

PSA: Lemmy votes can be manipulated

700 extra upvotes in the first couple hours on a medium sized hobby sub is an enormous amount and will give you great exposure to potentially tens of thousands of potential customers who won't just ignore it like some banner ad (since they'll think it's real content).

From what the other app devs said, it isn't that reddit would turn you off at all, it's that you'll start accruing charges as of July 1st. So, hopefully they didn't just rely on reddit shutting them down or reddit is going to hit them with a nasty bill for a week of use that they'll have to try to fight.

Can't the two of them just reproduce? Granted, I'm not a ninja scientist, but I think that's how it works.

[VERGE] The Reddit moderators who coordinate many celebrity AMAs will no longer do so

It's worth noting that Ellen Pao was actually temporarily replaced by Sam Altman (of OpenAI now) who didn't want the permanent job probably because reddit was such a shit show with no profitable future,, so that's how Steve Huffman ended up getting back in there.

If Elon is on steroids, he's using them wrong.

How many 3rd party apps would we need to make reddit free again?
Seems easier to just switch away from using reddit and get others in your online communities to do so as well instead of coordinating all of that.

[Woj] Free agent F Dario Saric has agreed on a one-year deal with the Golden State Warriors, sources tell ESPN. Saric was one of the most sought-after players left on the market.
This is a great pickup for them. He'll be a great fit.

[Sam Amick at the Atheltic] Why Damian Lillard finally requested a trade and the NBA lottery it launched
I'm a Sixers fan and would love to see Lillard play with Embiid, but the problems are:
That contract is huge and long and may be worse than just letting Harden expire and retooling next offseason.
Proposed deals I've seen include Maxey. I get that Portland will want good young assets, but Maxey is already good (and getting better) so from Philadelphia's point of view, it seems like the team next year with Lillard but no Harden/Maxey would be worse than this past year's team anyway.

What makes you think the Sixers won't match? It isn't an expensive deal.
