ASCII Skyline - a terminal-based recreation of an old screensaver I loved as a kid

I couldn't sleep last night and ended up working on a terminal-based recreation of the old Starry Skyline screensaver we had on our computers when I was a kid (part of the After Dark suite of screensavers). It's been a lot of fun to work on and I'm enjoying thinking of what else I can add to it beyond the simple office windows and stars. I just got finished adding fireworks and I'm real pleased with how they turned out.

This is my first time working with curses so it's serving as a useful learning experience. Hoping to throw together some TUI utilities once I'm comfortable enough with it.

"Seam the Seapkeeper" (MacDraw II)

Seam (pronounced "Shawm") is my favorite Deltarune character. Everything about him, from his design to his dialogue to his lore, tells you that this old stuffed cat has been through some things. Despite clearly having come out the worse for wear from his experiences, he maintains a sense of positivity - almost a gleeful nihilism. I always got the impression that he actually cares a bit more than he lets on.

I just could not figure out what to do with his mouth to make it not look quite so flat. Overall, this one was a lot tougher than I thought it'd be.

"Vivi" (MacDraw II)

The character Vivi from Final Fantasy IX, tied with Steiner as my favorites in that game (so cool that they can combo attack together!). Hands are hard, but I'm proud of the "shading" on the knobbly staff! I also think the thicker 2pt lines look better than the 1pt lines I've been using in the past.

As per usual while I'm still in this learning stage, I used a reference image.
