I must have you confused with someone else. Thanks for replying.

I don't remember quite which modem I had first.

But the one that had the most use was my Power Macintosh G3's built-in modem. Usually connected at 28.8 but could go up to 56.

I suspect someone hacked something at the local telecom company to make this work the way it did.

Should apps have logged themselves out?
