This free tool is helping drivers avoid automatic license plate readers — as fears grow around 'intrusive' new devices that could track your phone, AirPod and smartwatch data

Mine is made from 14g steel. Someone took out my last 2. Even threw eggs and canned foods at it a few times. No clue who I pissed off. Changed out the box, posted on facebook we upgraded it and installed a hidden camera, and they stopped. Funny thing is the post is 3in pvc pipe painted to kinda look like iron (I had to span 4 feet cause the box has to set over an asphalt ditch).

TIL: Suicide Rate in the United States Just Hit Highest Point in 75 Years

My daughter is 15. She hates guns. Hates being around them, the sound, the idea of harm, etc. 4 weeks ago she came crying afraid for her friends and ICE. Last week she told me she wanted to learn to shoot. (I inherited a lot of guns. I bought a few myself. I come from a conservative family and I am the black sheep, the one that "changed".) Still trying to get ahold of someone from Blazing Sword as an instructor. I want her to learn from someone with actual teaching instruction, rather than backwoods learning that I got.

Kids are terrified. Schools are scary, the law is scary, the dungeon dwelling creeps are now villified. I can see why suicide is increasing.

Google would be the worst partner for any space related work. We plan on launching in 4 years. Oh, Google says they redesigned it, oh, now it needs updates. 3 years, 11 mo later... Google cancelled the program, we need to find another partner.

*Cars don't create congestion"

It amazes me that this country literally has state borders built around rail systems, a huge dependence on rail for shipping, but decided to just pave over trolley rails, and jack prices of train transit to thousands of dollars for just a few hundred miles. Then the government forces us to pay shittons of money into our vehicles in taxes, insurance, etc without regulating the private companies that we're forced to pay. Meanwhile other countries have super fast trains to travel, subsidized with tax money, and travel seems to be more efficient.

"massive broadband rollout" but they fail to mention that that rollout cost $200 billion and was thirty fucking years ago.

If it wasn't for the grants given I'd still be on Comcast paying $80/mo for 325Mbps on a 400 plan that was recently "upgraded" for an additional $10/mo without my consent (the upgrade was replacing 300+mi of lines that were destroyed in a winter storm, lines that were installed in the 90s). Now I have fiber for $50/mo, and Comcast can fuck off on their monopoly. Also, funny thing - their save attempt was to drop my speed to 300 and still have me pay $80/mo.

Also, kudos to the reporter for calling him Mr. Trump as accolades are for those who earn them.
