Cities Panic Over Having to Release Mass Surveillance Recordings

That's how it is done.
If it is a public camera, it has to be a public record.
And if not, then anyone having access to the feed, has to have their whole life (both work and personal) be available as a public record.

If not, then you now have cases where most people can't afford to defend themselves from malicious cop allegations.
To prevent this, anyone arrested, pre-trial has to have access to all searches done by cops, related to the allegation and ability to pull-up 100% of their own footage anytime near the event in question.

If any part of the footage is deleted, due to "technical issues" like, "the footage was deleted" or "some of the cameras were not working", then the arrest is illegal and the police department is responsible for compensation.

Meta claims torrenting pirated books isn’t illegal without proof of seeding

Well, that's how it tends to be in most places.
You don't get caught for downloading; you get caught for uploading.

Using a similar logic to distribution via DVDs. Only the seller gets into trouble. The buyer does not.

Another point, opening a web page means downloading it, so if someone wanted to frame someone for downloading something, it would be very easy to make such a trap. This, accompanied with CSAM and network monitoring could be used to easily get any person using the internet, in jail, just for opening the wrong link. So, the laws require much more information regarding intent and such.

Guthib

gut push --force does not work.

But I added "force"!

sudo gut push --force still not working.
Of course I don't try to understand the error output. I just see that it is not working.

The Future is bright

I feel like an AI that can say "I don't know." plainly is a great step.
For AI that is, but does not make the product any more desirable.

There used to be F1 to help. Now there's F1 to AI?
Oh of course not. The F# keys are all gone. Now there is the AI button.

You'd want that, but a lot of programs do that, both in Windows and Linux.

e.g. The .directory files with the [Desktop Entry] spec by freedesktop.org
Dolphin has the option to enable/disable the feature

Programmers are no longer needed!

I don't get how an MDA would translate to "no programmers needed". Maybe they meant "coders"?
But really, I feel like the people who use this phrase to pitch their product either don't know how many people actually find it difficult to break down tasks into logical components, such that a computer would be able to use,, or they're lying.

40% of teenage boys believe women lie about domestic and sexual violence: new research

How many of them believe that everyone lies?

"women lie about DV...", will go both ways. You will also find some that are in those conditions and will not tell others or even try to hide it (for what reasons, I can't really tell).

Until we know about the actual wording of the survey, there is no way to tell what exactly they are interpreting.
I also have a feeling that the people who conducted the survey, might be misinterpreting the answers.
