One big advantage with proxmox is that you can restore from your backup and have opnsense up again in few minutes.

Firmware wise? Both are on stock firmware.

Im using hunsn 1u as primary router, i bought it almost two years ago (late apr23). It is running opnsense on proxmox. I initially had problems with opnsense crashing every day. It is stable now ever since i unchecked the memory ballooning option.

Backup is anyrevo mini pc with same count of LAN ports. If i want to make significant changes i do the changes here.

I just replaced NPM with Caddy this week. It's straightforward once I understood the config file. Why the switch? NPM is too heavy for my needs and I need to do extra manual works to update the SSL certs.

From what i know cpf interest is compounded while ssb is simple one (i forgot the actual term, rate * invested amt). By right compunded interest give better result than simple one for the same rate over time.
