Palestinian officials say Israeli forces have killed 36 people, mainly children, near the Nuseirat refugee camp.

I hope this is the right place for this post because from my 2-day experience in lemmy.world I see signs of a dystopic online community in which it is not permitted to express anti-zionist opinions. If you think this post would fit better in another forum, would you point it out to me? Unless automod gets to me first?

1. I created an account 2 days ago and I posted this article in Not the Onion: U.S. Airdrops Food to Gaza While Arming Israel to Drop Bombs.

It was removed by automod, so I contacted a human mod. The rest is in the screenshot. I decided not to wait for an answer because I had similar issues in Reddit. Mods were removing anti-zionist posts of news articles and had them restored a couple of days later, so they would get less visibility by not showing up on the first page, and it worked. Assuming (of course I cannot be certain at this point) that similar stuff are taking place here, is also alarming.

Tbh, I just hope I’m just wrong on all this, and I would really like to have some feedback on this from people that have been around in this instance longer that I have been.

I am totally new to lemmy.world and it didn't start well. But here I am, trying to understand.

My first post was removed by automod from Not the Onion because it was not onion-y [not too sure if you have visibility so that was the article: U.S. Airdrops Food to Gaza While Arming Israel to Drop Bombs]. I have to say the human moderator replied to my message. Let's see how that goes.

My second post was removed by automod from General Discussion. Automod wrote: this is not a support forum. It’s one thing to suggest another forum and a totally different thing to remove the post from General Discussion.

It was saying the following:

Is @automod programmed by Zionists?

Just got on lemmy.world and my first post in Not the Onion was removed by @automod with the argument not onion-y.

My assumption is in the title but I could be wrong. Any ideas anyone?

edit: in the title I changed the word Israelis to Zionists and apologies for my mistake to Israeli people that are not Zionists.

What is automod doing? That's my question for real. If that's what moderating looks like in lemmy.world please let me know.
