I’m curious as to what they think most of us do.

And one can’t control what their employer forces them to use. 40 hours per week I am forced to be all in regarding Microslop products.

We can't even pump fuel anymore without holding a digital billboard (Netherlands)
Damn, thought only the US was crazy enough to have ads at the pump. This is a whole other level.

His win is still a win for the people. I won’t support his music, but I’ll take the win against the cops.

Why a professor of fascism left the US: ‘The lesson of 1933 is – you get out’
As others have already commented, not everyone can just leave. Also, if we could all leave, who would take so many USA immigrants?

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tells NPR: 'Everything feels increasingly like a scam'
Maybe this is a hot take, but why don’t we just make all the law abiding undocumented immigrants legal and just move the fuck on? We need a party that will focus on healthcare and education the most as those two things will create a better society in the long run. Having these other individuals able to fully participate in society could be helpful in many ways as well.

the rich need to see guillotines
We are supposed to work for each other, with each other. The owning class are parasites, feeding from the labor of the masses, and they get most of what we produce. Without us they are literally nothing. If all billionaires disappeared tomorrow, infrastructure would not break down, because it is us who maintain it. We grow the crops, we heal the sick, etc…

UnitedHealthcare Caught Paying Off Nursing Homes to Let Seniors Die Because Hospital Transfers were “Too Expensive”
And this is why no one gave a shit or even cheered when that CEO was shot. Health insurance as a whole needs to be completely dismantled and the healthcare system in the USA needs to be restructured. I understand if something like that were to happen, it would take many many years and a lot of work to accomplish.

US to revoke passports of parents with child support debt
From the article:
Passport revocations for unpaid child support of more than $2,500 is allowed under a rarely-enforced 1996 federal law.
Previously, the consequence was only doled out when people with such debt sought to renew their passports.
So, not new, just being more strongly enforced.
Edit: more context

'People will buy intelligence from us on a meter': ChatGPT's Sam Altman's AI vision worries critics
I’m not anti-AI, but anti whatever fresh hell they are unloading unto the masses. This is something that requires careful planning to ensure we don’t devastate resources or stall critical think skills and knowledge.

It's that simple
So glad I came back to Linux a couple years ago. I only use my windows partition to play a game that won’t work as well in Linux, and that list is pretty small for the games I play. Even BG3 worked great in Mint, using a 6 year old build.
