  1. Greta did get a nomination, just not for director.
  2. Margot didn't, but America did.
  3. Ryan Gosling was the best part of Barbie, partly because of the writing which, again, WAS nominated.
  4. This is not "the patriarchy;" it was a really strong year for those two categories.

Finding a Tech Job Is Still a Nightmare | WIRED

I’ve worked in the SaaS world for nearly a decade. I’ve never had an issue getting a new job every couple of years. The best path for promotions and salary increases in this world. I was unfortunately part of a layoff back in the summer, and I have never had such a hard time finding work in my life.

Every time I go to apply to a job that’s fairly new, I can see there are already a couple thousand applicants. Suddenly my decade of experience isn’t enough to land an interview, much less a job.

It. Sucks.

Adapt. Overcome.

I once had a roommate who was the messiest person alive. I was tired of cleaning up all his crap so I just piled it all in front of his door. When I came home, he had just parted it like the Red Sea and it sat there for weeks.

Yeah, I used to love thrifting. Could find really awesome stuff for a couple bucks. Now it’s too trendy. They’ve figured out that people were buying it from them dirt cheap and then reselling it in their own “vintage” shop for like 20x the price. Society has even ruined thrifting.

I’m going to be honest here, it doesn’t sound like you even really know what you want. Annoying coworkers are an inevitable part of adult life. I have had a lot of jobs at many different companies, and you just learn how to fake nice and play as little of the office politics that you can. The best thing for you, I think, would be finding a remote job if that’s possible. There are a ton of remote positions now a days and that’s the best way to not have to interact with other people, save for zoom meetings.

Exclusive: Republican hits Clarence Thomas with. lawsuit over his taxes

Castro is suing Thomas under VFATA, which allows private citizens anywhere in the country to bring a claim against a Virginia resident for making a knowingly false or fraudulent claim to the commonwealth for money or property, essentially empowering regular Americans to take on the role of a de factor agent of the Virginia attorney general.

Crazy. Why didn’t a democrat do this immediately?
