[Alpine Linux][River 0.5] Finally got a working setup. First time really going from bare installation to full desktop setup on my own.
Nicely done

Why use Proxmox over Podman or Docker?
I like the flexibility that proxmox provides me. I do this as a hobby and I'm self taught. I can try a bunch of things and if I mess up I can start over without much hassle.

Is *arr stack a real Netflix replacement?
Since I started using Jellyfin and arr, searching and watching have become separate activities. Gone is the experience where I discover something and am watching it immediately. And, search/discovery is done on separate apps than where I watch. So my behaviour has changed. I think ahead. I keep any eye out for what people are watching and download what seems good to me. The payoff is I'm not limited to what's on any particular platform and I don't pay subscription fees.

Should I keep trying with Resident Evil 1 (2002) or wait for a hypothetical RE Engine remake?
The current era remakes are just different styles of games than anything released before the original RE4. IMO the things you say you don't like are part of what make this game fun and great. But plenty of people feel the way you do. There's no wrong answer here.
Btw, just in case you give it another try, some tips:

Blackblaze B2 status and alternatives
I use rclone, not restic, to back up to backblaze. So maybe my advice is not relevant to restic. But what I'm going to say isn't touched on in other comments, so I'll put it out there.
The rclone docs say for Backblaze in particular, users should increase the number of concurrent file transfers because rclone's default (4 concurrent transfers) is too slow on Backblaze. I don't see this mentioned in other rclone docs pages for other providers (of the ones I've looked at: Jottacloud, Overdrive, I forget what else). My impression is it's something about Backblaze. Maybe its something you could look into.

Do you stick to the same linux distro across your devices?
My gaming PC runs Nobara so I started using Fedora on my general use desktop and my laptop for consistency. I have an older laptop that runs Debian. I have two server machines that run Proxmox and Debian, and all my VMs are Debian except one that is Fedora server (I read somewhere Fedora would provide better GPU support out of the box, but I've never confirmed this, it just works)

What's your favorite linux os you suggest to beginners who wish to learn linux?
Sorry to say it, but if you've already found online opinions about what distros to use and what to avoid, you're just going to find the same thing here.

What is your Music piracy system.
I get music from a variety of sources. Mostly torrents or soulseek. Both are hooked up through Lidarr but I also like to use the soulseek daemon web UI. I also buy off Bandcamp and download from the browser. Less often I get files from friends. All sources lead to "inbox" folders for Beets-flask, which handles tagging and then importing to the actual library. Navidrome serves the library up for clients. Koito handles scrobbles.
I've been trying out Aurral for recommendations and playlist generation but I'm not loving it. Pretty quick I learned it wants me to stream from it's subsonic API (in place of Navidrome) for best results. I can't figure out if it will work just off my Koito scrobble history.
Will try Audiomuse AI at some point. Auto playlist generation would make my stack feel more "modern" I think.
