How did we decide on the same starter pack?

Why do you think is it that seemingly we as a community all get basically the same starter pack when trying out feminine clothing for the first time? Like I feel everyone gets a black and/or pink skater skirt, black-and-white thigh highs, an oversized shirt with print, a black crop top, a cropped hoodie and either black arm sleeves or mesh sleeves. How did that start and why do so many start out like that?

Edit: Not that I think it's bad or anything. It's fine to have a go-to and I even think these starter pack items look really cute. I still like wearing them. It's just kind of odd to me.

How can I show my cats they don't have to fight for attention?

Me and my partner adopted 2 cats about a month ago. They are very cute and friendly most of the time and we love them very much. And it seems like they like it here too. But sometimes they tend to fight out of what seems like jealousy. Like if they both want to be pet at the same time, I try to do that. But often one of them hits the other one in these situations so they go away. I would like to show my cats that they don't have to fight each other for attention, but I don't know how to do that. Anyone have any tips for that?

What is your response to people saying "data privacy doesn't matter because it's all out there anyway"?

I have neither time, resources nor know-how to like go all out on data privacy. But I try doing things like using Proton for Mail, browsing with DuckDuckGo or Ecosia, messaging on Signal instead of WhatsApp, etc.

But I'm having a hard time responding to people who say "why do you do that, it's completely pointless since companies like Google have all of our data anyways unless we go all out, and nobody has time for all the effort that takes".

What are commonly used idioms/metaphors that make no sense to anyone who knows about the topic they come from?

What I mean is like for example, a person having "gravitational pull" or someone making a "quantum leap" makes no sense to anyone who knows about physics. Gravity is extremely weak and quantum leaps are tiny.

Or "David versus Goliath" to describe a huge underdoge makes no sense to anyone who knows about history, because nobody bringing a gun to a sword fight is going to be the underdog but that's essentially what David did.

I'm looking for more examples like that.

How would you put into words what gender means to you apart from societal gender roles and expectations?

I know that it has significant meaning to me but I struggle putting it into words to explain it to other people (especially other dya cis people). So like a few years ago I was thinking about if I may be trans femme. I have since realised that no, actually I was just struggling with it for a while because I don't relate to the gender roles and expectations society puts on men. I now identify more strongly with being a man than ever before, and I love being a man in a gender-way. I just absolutely hate being a man in a "what role men have in society"-way.
