Hey now no need for hate, let’s sit down with a nice glass of flamin hot eldrich horror and hash out our differences lol. But don’t worry, it’s only going to get worse from here, I don’t know what’s worse than fermenting and distilling Cheetos but by god I’ll find something even worse than this.

I paid for the still, I’m gonna get my moneys worth out of it 😂 and by that I’m just curious what flavors come through the process. While these are mostly horrid ideas, you never know when you’ll be surprised and can make something interesting from it. Hell sour beers were considered bad at one point in history and now people (including myself) make them intentionally!

Do e-cigarettes actually work?

As someone who smoked a pack a day until last year and switched to an e-cigarette yeah, they can definitely be helpful in quitting. I have a few friends who switched over and slowly lowered the nicotine levels until they had non nicotine and kept it for the oral fixation. Personally I switched just because it’s a lot cheaper, and I don’t have plans to lower nicotine anytime soon, but I’ve even felt better using just the ecig compared to normal smokes.

Watermelon brandy

I’m calling it toddermelon, in honor of a buddy of mine who passed. If anyone wants to recreate this, number one tip (and this will be weird for home brewers) do not heat or boil it at all! I made a starter with half a watermelon and a packet of Cote des Blancs. From there I sliced up and blended 5 watermelons, put it into a BIAB bag and strained out as much as I could. Added 8? Pounds of sugar I inverted and water to bring it up to 5 gallons. Tossed in my starter and 2 extra packs of yeast to be safe (remember, no boiling) and let it ferment. In the mean time I also cut the last of 6 watermelons up and filled a 16oz jar with them and sugar to make a watermelon syrup while dehydrating the rest of the melon. Once it was done fermenting the liquor fairies took care of the distilling, proofed it down using my watermelon syrup and let the dehydrated melon sit in it for 4 days before straining it out. All in all I got 2 liters of the most delicious watermelon brandy I’ve ever had (everything else tastes artificial)

Hell yeah good work! And I get it on the alcohol part, I think when I abstained for a month i dropped like 10 pounds (that I gained back immediately after because summer is still stout season damnit) keep it up friend

I may have to cross off any oily items from my memes to distill list, my still continues to reek of Cheetos lol. Have it soaking in vinegar now. Gonna run my blueberry brandy through it in the next 24-48 hours and hope it works and the stench goes away, if not I have some copper cleaner coming in tomorrow but honestly I’m half expecting to need a new pot still column, whoops.
