How would you feel if Beehaw left the Fediverse?

Why do you care what other instances think about it? I'm honestly asking and expecting an answer here. This isn't a sassy question.

You built a wall and now you're asking people outside of that wall what it feels for you to leave. Well, I'd care if I could see what's inside the wall, but I can't. I tried subscribing and it was impossible.

So why do you care what people outside of your wall think? Again, I expect an answer here.

I can 100% remember the cringe moments of others, and let me tell you, they affect me as much as my own.

Still remember that time a coworker invited a bunch of people to a talk to show them a cool tech he developed. When he was done, nobody clapped and everyone started basically insinuating that it was useless while he was still standing in front of everyone.

It was pretty painful to watch.

What?

Edit: my research says that half-fifth is how they call 4.5, which is insane. Then they multiply that by 20, holy shit, they are mathematical geniuses. So:

7 + 4.5 * 20.

WHAT THE FUCK.

They take steroids before filming these movies. It is no secret. You can't achieve that in a few months, that's 100% steroids backed by a team of experts who are giving them the best products in the exact doses they need.

Help

We need to stop blaming ourselves. I'm tired of feeling like shit about this.

This isn't on us, this is 100% on lawmakers, they are the ones who should be fixing these issues. Why the fuck is this my responsibility. I'm paying them with my taxes to solve problems, not to tell me I'm the problem.

I'm an engineers who works with engineers. There are no rules. You have the dumb smoothtalkers and the smart... dumbtalkers.

It's pretty entertaining seeing management eat the bullshit some engineers give them. It's a crime for a manager not to be technical or at least have understanding of what is going on. If you want to see an engineer fucking a manager, put a manager who doesn't know shit about engineering.

I thought acre was English for the Spanish word "hectárea". I guess I was wrong. Anyways, my mind always goes blank when people use these units. I can only understand once I hear squared meters or kilometers.

Edit: dude, an hectare is just 10k squared meters. Chef's kiss. Meanwhile an acre is 4 neighboring houses from that Lemmy's user, or 5000 potatoes spread on a field.
