It will be probably more. I talked with sysadmin from some smaller provider in my country few months ago. And he told me that the migration will take them for most systems about 2 years (depreciation of hardware) and for some machines about 5 years.

So lot of customers are in process of replacing it but it will take multiple years.

I and my brother did some math about cars.

We both work and have money for car but just insurance, technical and emissions control... is more expensive than public transport ticket (for one year in our city). And we didn't count in petrol and parking.

The building has stone cladding and graffiti on stone has to be removed quite quickly because after a while it is nearly impossible to clean it.

Don't get me wrong it is still pr disaster and it should be handled differently, the cover of it, standing policemans around... It just gives feeling that they don't want anyone to see it (which was maybe someones intention). Leaving it visible with some press release about protecting stone buildings and cleaning it immediately afterwards would be better pr option.
