I hope Indira is happy in her new home. I’ve enjoyed reading about her.

Very cool! Are these at the rescue you volunteer at?

This year I would like to see Snowy or Barn Owl win.

Agreed. His story was inspiring and it is not the end I would wish for any bird. Sadly, too many die in this way.

Poor thing. Because it’s a “first-winter” bird does that mean it will keep its feathers longer or molt sooner? Or does it have nothing to do with it and adult Snowies all molt on the same schedule?

I love seeing the continuing adventures of Indira. I hope she finds a forever home soon. ❤️

This was very generous of you! Pretty cool to have the superbowl lemmy community on a plaque, too. 😏

Very interesting, but a sad ending!

I’m sad Snowy lost, but WFS is truly a superb owl.

Thanks for running this. It was a lot of fun and something to look forward to each day.

I never thought about this! So interesting to think of owls contributing to the fossil record (ish) through pellets.

Thanks for posting this update. I’m glad to see it’s returning to normal coloration. Maybe someone will find some of the molted feathers and be able to figure out what caused it.

This look! So judgy, lol.

Magical! But this is one reason it’s important to get a mesh covering for your chimney!

That 5th pic is great! So unimpressed. Or maybe just sleepy. 😴

I love this! ❤️

Blue Jays are like a gang in my yard. I love them, but they like to scare the other birds away from the feeders and then throw a bunch of seed on the ground looking for the right one. Sigh.

Very sad. There has to be better ways to control rodent populations that would not harm other wildlife.

Yes!!! I knew Saw Whet could do it! ❤️

Thanks for running this again. It was so much fun!

I had to vote Elf Owl, but Powerful Owl might have the coolest name of any owl!

Check your local Target stores.

That in flight picture is gorgeous! This was an even more difficult decision than GHO vs. SWO. Ultimately, I had to go with Barn Owl. I just love the pattern on its feathers.

You might want to stick to young adult stuff. It will have less objectionable content, I think. As for a real suggestion try Sabriel by Garth Nix and if you like it there are others in the series.
