Wait a minute, we've been going about this all the wrong way!
Well they're still blowing up kids with these things so idk if it's the most brilliant targeting technique

Swastika Flags Flown During Donald Trump Boat Parade in Florida
Newsweek was unable to independently verify at the time of publication whether the people on the boat were from the antifa movement.
Oh, fuck off. I'm unable to independently verify whether the people on the boat were Newsweek employees.

Software developer. Having my home constantly phoning home to megacorporations sounds creepy, but more importantly, none of these smart home products solve a problem. They just add additional points of failure to appliances that have historically been sufficiently reliable.

I think many would agree that it'd be great for FOSS engines to get more attention and contributions, but this is the most asinine way to get that message across

Reddit faces content quality concerns after its Great Mod Purge
I've noticed a huge increase of ragebait AITA posts every time I check the front page. They're all pretty similar - disowning a child or deciding not to attend a wedding. And people fall for it every time. It's kind of sad to see one of the smartest places on the internet turn into social media junk food.

Biden says it’s ‘time to outlaw’ AR-15 after Trump assassination attempt
It seems like such a lazy non-solution. Essentially telling shooters "Hey, from now on, you can only use ALL THE OTHER GUNS" as if that solves something.

Well deary, I wouldn't want to get in any trouble
We're all gonna get old and some of us are going to get dementia. I have a hard time pointing at vulnerable people whose brains are nearly expired and saying "Haha jeez what noobs, how could they be such idiots?"

This can certainly be done as long as we stick to the five core values - take ownership, take the leap, act with integrity, put the customer first, and dare to innovate.

I’ll fight anyone who shits on Gen Z
Millenials were the original "avocado toast" generation targeted by boomers. We've been conditioned to protect our young from the real babies in these older generations. But there are good ones and bad ones in every generation.

Ian Miles Cheong's Twitter-fame is baffling to me. I often follow conservative people on there if they're in an important position of some sort, but this guy has accomplished nothing that makes his perspective more relevant than the average schmuck.

McConnell reportedly not suffering from stroke or seizures, says Capitol doctor
So has anyone ever had a form of lightheadedness that rendered them unable to speak? I was underweight for most of my life and regularly felt lightheaded. I could always at least say "oh shit, I feel lightheaded" unless I was right about to faint, which doesn't seem to be the case for Mitch.
I feel like we're being taken for absolute fools when lightheadedness is mentioned, but maybe I'm missing something.

I don't need any sort of isolationism pushed on me. I wouldn't sign up for an email provider that blocks GMail because "we're not corpo bootlickers", or a phone provider that only lets me call the coolest fellow comrades. If an instance wants to be its own little island with its own ideology, I'm cool with that, but it's not for me - I'm looking for an instance that behaves more like an un-opinionated public utility.

Gen Z is turned off by onscreen sex, wants no-mance over romance, a new study finds
Different times. When I was growing up, a sex scene in a movie might be one of very few opportunities where you got to see a pair of boobs, unless you could get someone to buy you a porno magazine or VHS tape. These days, there are probably millions of options in this area, instantly accessible. And Hollywood-produced nude/sex scenes are all going to be fake and cringy in comparison.
