It's a good question. Older model formats used to allow for executable code to be present and thus would present a security risk. But with the formats that Ollama and Llama.cpp use I believe that's not the case anymore.

In terms of the here and now I largely agree with you. I'm just the kill joy reminding the audience that every president has been complicit in ratcheting the executive power of the office for over a century. Unless that power is curtailed tyranny is inevitable.
