Teenage student blasts school board ‘cowards’ for failing to protect her when one of their members called her ‘hot’

Ervin claims his words were taken out of context and he was merely complimenting Campbell’s line of questioning.

Dude said ‘god you’re hot’ and then asked the student where she went to school. When she answered, he said ‘alright!’ in that ‘yes!’ type of voice that would accompany a victorious arm pump.

Is that the context that was missing, pig?

Also, super proud of her for literally standing up to him and the other adults in the room who should have protected her, didn’t, and still aren’t.

She was arrested for holding a protest sign in small-town California: ‘This is a testing ground’

Fuck Shasta County, particularly fuck Redding.

I spent 7 years of my childhood and 5 of my adulthood living in Redding CA. It is the most backward looking place I’ve ever lived, and I’ve lived all over in Northern California in my lifetime.

The place is full of retired white people and their meth addled adult children. The police are exactly what you’d imagine the typical ICE recruit is like, and on top of that they’re so bored and jaded that they harass anyone who appears to be even thinking about wandering outside the law, and that’s a generous statement.

Being there feels like you’ve been transported to the Midwest circa 1979 and if you mention this to anyone you will have given them a compliment in their perspective. The citizens are proud of their regressive beliefs, and shun any new ideas to the point of even banning construction of any buildings over 3 stories. It’s a freeway town so unless you work for the county or forest fire fighting, the service industry or low end retail (mall jobs at best) are your only options to make a living. Most young people leave out of high school, and the ones that stay are happy to contribute to the stagnation and regression that has now apparently earned them ‘international recognition’ that the article mentions.

I’m so glad I left when I did, before Trump and his politics became as galvanized and emboldened as it is today. Reading the story of this couple doesn’t shock me at all, just makes me really sad for people like them and the few that I know that still live in the area.

Breaking down the illusion of a 2 party system

Power is never given, it is taken.

I see a lot of discourse around this theory that when Democrats are in power they’ll reverse everything this regime has done. Yes this is a comforting thought but it’s way too much to expect from the Democratic Party as we know it now.

The Executive branch has been given (and has taken) an extreme amount of power to the point where the balance we once knew is now nonexistent. Does anyone think for one second the next president will just forfeit those gains? What incentive is there? And as we’ve seen and continue to see, who will hold them to account?

My bet is that we’ll see a few easy ‘gimme’ reversals that are enough to enable our slide back into the complacency we so desperately crave.

Child protective services called after parents express concerns about high school’s Turning Point USA event

So…your organization receives so much scrutiny (‘hate’) that instead of demonstrating transparency and alleviating the concerns of the parents of the participants you double down and prohibit parent attendance?

At this point it’s clear your intentions are one or both of the below:

  1. Have these kids participate in activities that their parents would question and/or not allow them to participate in,
  2. Give these kids zero opportunity to be influenced by anything other than your influence while attending the event.

Sounds exactly like what a cult does during recruiting and introductory events, except in this case it’s for children and supposed to be ’ok’ because it’s a religious organization. Sounds super safe and not at all like putting your child directly in the hands of groomers at best and well…another quite predictable and nefarious outcome at worst.

“We Will Find You and We Will Kill You”

They practically have already, without using the word ‘Democrat’. Read the EO from Sept 2025 where anyone who isn’t pro-Capitalism, pro-Christian, pro-nuclear family, pro-Fascist, and pro-American hegemony was declared an enemy of the State.

No really, read it and ask yourself who it describes and why. I know I recognized more than enough to know where I stand when I read it.

Common threads animating this violent conduct include anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, and anti-Christianity; support for the overthrow of the United States Government; extremism on migration, race, and gender; and hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on family, religion, and morality.
