Google engineers want to introduce DRMs for web pages, making ad-blocking near-impossible in the browser
Google is hindrance to open web, like IE7 was with ActiveX.
Only difference is that IE7 wanted developers to develop for IE7, while Google also want to fully control the web and bend it according to its needs

People of Lemmy, I dare you to name ONE billionaire that's done anything good.

On same tone, Warren Buffet.
He has also donated billions in the same charity and largely lives controversy free.

Madison Reeves on why she left LMG

I'm not saying he meant anti-union by that line, but that's classic anti-union line saying my employees don't need unions.
Very much in line of "unions means less money for you" statement.

Reddit is telling protesting mods their communities ‘will not’ stay private
Reddit would crumble badly very soon is those unpaid mods just immediately give up. The chaos will definitely doom Reddit and fast.
But it's clear that mods there would rather suffer than give up their made up power.

Linus Tech Tips apology video - BEST PARTS

Oh the term was alright, it's his 100% intentional innuendo that was the problem.
He didn't hide it nor he even slightly direct viewers to actual term.
He only meant 69 and he showed it that way

This is a big red flag already. A proper record is needed by any good and fair company.
There is even more concerning part where Linus discussed the order of complaints - first the immediate manager, then Linux/Yvonne, and the only third party HR.
This is big no no for any reputable company. If you feel harassed, you generally go to HR directly, you don't give managers any information.
Such managers are not equipped with HR related situations and by saying your piece to more people, you're ensuring that people you complaint about knows that you're making a complaint and they can use their power and sway you.
This is biggest issue for me in the video which essentially nullified the existence of HR in LMG if they are this far off to employees.

Modern consumer logic
For me Amazon delivers to my doorstep, listens and acts on complaints if undelivered or product is faulty, arrange replacement for free, allow me to use stuffs for a month and then return no questions asked, and is way more cost effective.
Say whatever about their business practices, they beat local stores in every possible way and it's not even close.
For me as a customer, local stores doesn't make any possible sense.

The only version management I believe in is Nver.
I write code once and then leave the project completely. Start with 0.0.1 and end with 0.0.1

BEWARE ! People who create fake email account to login to social media.
I don't use Facebook but I'm 100% sure they have my data.
A lot of apps that uses Facebook login, debugger, React Native, etc. allows it to collect as much user data as it can and send it to FB servers because that's the default.

The Chandrayaan-3 mission has successfully landed on the Moon’s south pole
Reply in thread
You're being downvoted because you've zero clues here and you just run your agenda of hatred. You just want to diminish a country's achievement by bringing in different stats. This is typical of country-hating citizens.
As for how and what this achieves is ISRO is immensely profitable in bringing in foreign money to India. They do it by having cheapest and reliable spa e programs. They're uncontested in this area now and all space agencies including private ones like SpaceX pays ISRO for their satellite launches.
In case you don't understand in your blind hatred, this pays for India's space program and bring in a lot nore money as well.
As for the other countries trying, Russia just tried and failed, NASA has both manned and unmanned launches to moon planned. So saying other countries are not doing this is false.
Comparing NK rocket launch to this clearly how out of reality you're.
And finally, regarding your straw man argument of malnutrition, first of all it's exactly that - straw man argument or whataboutism which has nothing to do with this achievement.
Secondly, while malnutrition is a big issue and must be addressed, ending space program will do jackshit.
Even further, Chandrayaan 3 is not Modi's achievement anyway, so why bring Modi hate in India's success story?

As a current Thunder and previous Syncfor Reddit user, I can understand Sync's charm.
It's a lot polished, the most polished Lemmy client right now. There's absolutely no lag with weird config (e.g. link preview for Thunder), hell lot of customisation, ability to backup and restore settings, ability to parse virtually any links within Sync and even provide download option, etc.
Sunc benefits from using same old codebase with backend tweaking to Lemmy.
Thunder will ultimately catch up to that, but saying Thunder is current state is perfect and matches up with Sync in features is big hyperbole.
