We interrupt your programming rule
I loved it when my phone had IR. I really hate it when restaurants have tvs on in the dining room. I would turn the volume down or even turn it off. I really miss being able to do that.

What did you get told as a child that you realised was a lie as you got older?
Grandma adopted a puppy when I was probably 8 or 9. It got parvo. I remember going to her house and asking where the puppy was. She told me that he was sick, so he had to stay outside and I couldn't go outside for the same reason. When I would ask where the puppy is, she would tell me that he's on the side of the house where I couldn't see him. This went on for a long time, I never saw the puppy again and eventually forgot about it entirely.
A decade or two later I found out that my grandma had spent thousands of dollars trying to keep that puppy alive, but parvo took it anyways. She was very upset about it's passing and instead of having me go through it too, she lied to me about it until I completely forgot about it.

Yeah, I'm not installing DRM to watch anything on any service. I'll pirate, thanks very much.

Your TV set has become a digital billboard. And it’s only getting worse.
Disconnected my TV from the Internet. I stream media from a PC on my lan to Kodi running on a fire stick. Setup openwrt to drop all packets to wan from the fire stick. These companies can get fucked and if they ever figure out a way to stop me from owning my devices, I'll just take up some new hobbies and be done with it all.

Do employers actually know or care about lying on resume?
I don't think it requires lying. I do think you can advance yourself faster by doing some lying, but you should stick to things that aren't actually job related. Length of time working jobs, increasing your previous job titles by a level, making your roles sound more critical are all good ones. Saying you can do something that you cannot can definitely get you in to trouble if they decide to ask you about it, or worse, you get hired and then they need you to apply the skill you don't actually have.
That being said, I have seen people straight up lie about their qualifications, get the job, flounder for a while and then become at least minimally capable and then hold the job long term. If you consider trying this, at least have a fall back plan for if you get fired.

I have to agree. I love the idea of Matrix, but as someone who pushed his family to use it for the last two years, it is not reliable. Messages not going through, or going through but delayed, or having decryption errors. We moved away from it about two weeks ago due to important messages not making it through on many occasions and the confusion and frustration it's caused.

Political version of Weekend at Bernie's. Too bad it's not just a shitty movie.

Does anyone use a phone without a protective case?
Never use a case. Had one on my blackberry back in the day, but never since. I'm pretty careful with my phone. When I am holding it, I recognize that it's a $500 device and needs to be treated with care. That being said, I am a strong supporter of being present in the moment and my phone usually only comes out if I need to call/text or look up some information. Unless im sitting in a vehicle or waiting room, I just don't really use my phone much.

Look up 4k77 if you haven't already. Team negative1 has been transferring and restoring copies of the original reels. The are also working on 4k80 and 4k83. I believe that 4k77 and 4k83 are completed and there are rough copies of 4k80.

If this is AI, then McDonald's has been using AI for a long time. Also, my Keurig is AI powered too.

Make a file named just a bunch of spaces with double quotes around them. It's made confusing because of the 4 double quotes, two are escaped by the backslashes immediately before them.

You are diagnosed with cancer but have no money for treatment. You've no option but to steal the money somehow. What's your plan?
Divorce my wife, quit working and get state funded insurance. We still keep her income and I can get treatment without sinking my entire family. Something something capitalist dystopia.
