Yeah, it's not even just a sensationalist headline. It's what they ruled. How are we supposed to reconcile this with the rest of the world? I'm genuinely asking. How do you include a country with leadership like this in the future of the world? Someone enlighten me.

America’s premier pronatalists on having ‘tons of kids’ to save the world: ‘There are going to be countries of old people starving to death’

"Malcolm had a turbulent childhood that he clearly doesn’t want to talk about. He comes from a wealthy family and grew up in Dallas, but was sent to a “troubled teen” residential facility when he was 11. The only reason he can give me for being sent there was that his parents were getting divorced and were locked in a bitter custody dispute, and the judge “thought I shouldn’t be with either parent”. After that, he lived at a private boarding school, with his fees and expenses covered by a family trust. “I have no beef with my parents. My childhood was hard, but my adulthood has been easy. Can I say a parent did a bad job if I’m happy with my life today? I don’t think so.” "

L to the O to the motherfucking L. These people are just reacting to their trauma and acting like they've found some magical answer to life being hard. Their poor children.

People who have been through tough timew, how did you keep moving?

Go to your local food bank. Food banks are often seriously underused programs that are exactly for people in your situation. A lot of people are hesitant to use food pantries because they perceive them to be for people in worse shape than themselves. But if you are only able to pay half rent, you are exactly the person that food pantries are more than happy to help. They are typically staffed with incredible people who often have their own experiences with trouble making ends meet, and these days you can get some very high quality and fresh food. Please, go. Other than that, know that being tired and feeling hopeless is normal, but you can persevere. Just reaching out here is a really hard step that takes a lot of courage. Good on you! And good luck! Internet hugs!!!

Libraries are legitimately one of the best things about modern society. I worked at one during college and it was amazing. Go support your local library everyone! Librarians are master researchers, they are like untapped oracles.

Trump will likely run out of legal defense funds by summer, report says

I really wanna see his hair wet. I wonder how long those whispy little strands really are. I bet they're like a foot long, all coming from the one random spot on his bloated head that still grows hair with any structural integrity, the rest being brittle and unable to hold any shape, even with a whole bottle of hairspray applied. Disgusting. I'm mad at myself for making myself think this thought lol hence why I am now cursing all of you.

Agreed. I understand the flippancy with him in particular, but prisons should not be a place where your life is in danger. Think of the other inmates, not just him. There are lots of inmates who can be reformed, but living in an environment that is so dangerous makes that much less likely. Sucks all around.

Wikipedia is amazing

This is a bad take to me. Them having a surplus of money is good. We want them to be operating as strongly as possible. Is it shitty to use an appeal to emotion like that? Absolutely. However, that shouldn't mean we all stop donating to them. For some people, the shitty appeal to emotion doesn't outweigh the importance of what wikipedia provides. Don't donate if you don't have it, but if someone still sees the value in what they do and it is easy for them to donate then they should do so. Personally, I put my money elsewhere, but discouraging people from donating at all is a weird stance to take.
