Making music. I’ve started working on a new EP, probably around 5 songs, that I plan to release within 3 months.

I have around 30 songs on Spotify. They should pay me $4.5M.

I'd obviously take the money too, but as a musician, it would be so hard for me to give up the rights to my music. Then again, she likely didn't write and produce her music so she probably doesn't feel the same as someone who made their music themselves.

Make music. I record and produce my own music in my home studio. I sometimes don’t realize I’ve been in there for hours until I need to pee.

I never did lol. I play by ear to this day. It does make it difficult to play songs on the fly, especially when on stints as a session musician where I have to learn an entire set list of songs quickly. But for my own original work, it hasn't really hindered me.

I know right? I have around 60k total streams in 5 years, and I earned around $300 so far. I use a free distributor (who takes a 15%) cut though. I figured I'm not earning much anyway, so I don't really mind them getting a cut if I get unlimited uploads without a fee.

I make music and one of my goals is to get a song picked up by the shorts/tiktok algorithm so the streams grow exponentially. lol

I dunno why but recently I noticed I haven’t been passive listening to music. I used to have headphones while I work and music when I’m driving. Lately I’ve been driving in silence and working without headphones.

Probably because I make music on my off days and my ears get tired?

I’m just chilling at home all day. I was supposed to work on some new music but was too lazy. I have work again tomorrow so might as well make the most of my not doing anything.

I don’t get hate DM’s but I do get an occasional message saying good things about my music when I post something. Then it turns out to be a scammer or someone offering whatever social media marketing scheme (which is probably a scam too).

Thanks! Yeah, even I am still continuously learning new things. In fact, I recently reset my mixing/mastering workflow and started fresh, because of new stuff I learned. I do different genres, but this time it’s gonna be a prog industrial metal instrumental album.
