What's your favorite song lyric?
In the heat of the moment when fear has you frozen You're crashing and burning when life's at its coldest Don't fall too far from who you are
-I Prevail, Scars

Anyone have the "resist fascism by making mistakes" copypasta? I can't find it because the internet sucks
I believe you are looking for the Simple Sabotage Field Manual, the original of which is still on the CIA's website!

Parents, can you confirm accuracy?
Inaccurate. Three whole seconds is enough for a 3yo to find a saw, damage several pieces of furniture, get bored with the saw, find some paint, paint the aforementioned ruined furniture, also ruining most of the floor, get bored with the paint, and demand a grilled cheese.

I hate being pregnant
I just want to remind you to give yourself some grace about hating it. As many others already have iterated, pregnancy is hard. Honor the feelings you have, no guilt allowed!

What's a relationship hack you'd known sooner?
Healthy relationships have boundaries too. You are not responsible for managing the other person's emotions. Which doesn't mean you can't empathize and/or try to help where it's warranted and wanted, just that their feelings are theirs and don't need to be yours as well.

WomensStuff weekend positivity... who or what really helped you in 2025?
I was able to make room for doing things just for myself. And also to work on not feeling guilty about doing that!

I'm top heavy so can't do this
Reply in thread
I was 42 years old when I finally gave myself permission to jusy wear my super comfy nursing sleeping bras all the time (I haven't nursed for two years). It's enough support for me (also top heavy) without any of the hastle that every mf bra has something that feels like torture.
It's liberating.

Excited to get a wig
Congrats and thank you for sharing!! It seems to me like giving/allowing yourself the freedom to explore is just so, so valuable. We all deserve to love ourselves and feel we can authentically express our identity. 💙

You know there are telescopes, microscopes, to see far and small objects. I wish I have a chronoscope. See into the past (not future tho, that's a whole can of worms), especially my personal past.
I'm 100% on board with this! Although, full disclosure, I have recently come to the realization that I carry trauma from my childhood and that I survived in large part because I was able to block out so much. So I'd take a chronoscope only with very careful, intentional usage. But, it would be so amazing to get to see, from the perspective of present-day me, what went on back then!

Why I stopped talking about my feelings

I've found Brené Brown's way of describing empathy, and imo answering this question, helpful:

How Wind Nearly Took Down Boulder NTP
Reply in thread
However, the wind storm brought with it a particularly dangerous red flag warning outside of Boulder, a first for Colorado.
Patently false. These warnings happen all the time in this area.
And this sentence just doesn't make sense to me:
Due to predicted failure of NIST’s heat exchange, much of the normal monitoring equipment was unavailable to the scientists, further complicating the situation.
Wouldn't the power loss by itself result in this?
Idk, maybe I'm just being crotchety.
