Google is intentionally throttling YouTube videos, slowing down users with ad blockers

fixed it by blocking the element
Which one? That'd certainly help to know how to do that

The locking-down of Android: why I had to 'hack' a banking app just to get it running
Thanks a ton for your writeup and sharing your experience.
I have the exact same setup and I’m struggling more and more with apps with require Google Play to launch. I’ll use your workaround hoping that it’ll open a path for a while although I’m also dubious about the future.

I spent the night for a stupid reason at a police station and people know it without knowing the reason behind it, what would be the most honorable way to get around this unfortunate episode?

Thanks for your reply ! My last unit lasted 9 years so that counts but looking at feedback from recent models it looks like a lot of progress has been made already so I'm not sure if it's worth it to worry that much

What's funny is that it's still ongoing since months / years, I arrived in Lemmy when Reddit went crazy about it sometimes felt like the Far West, today things have largely settled down and I'd be glad if we could get rid of this because it's really confusing

add-ons on Orion
It's great to know that they are working better now, last time I tried almost none was functionnal and it was quite a pain to install / uninstall / switch source (Firefox / Chrome version) in the hopes of it finally working. I’ll have a look, since then I’ve been using Brave + piHole and it was more or less decent.

Yes, that's a great idea. I'm tempted to do that but my old NAS is hardly keeping up with all the services I've deployed on it so far

Expandroid, an open source text expansion app, particularly handy if you use Espanso on desktop
As a heavy user of Espanso I'm very interested in knowing that something like this exists on mobile, it'll save me a lot of time as well 👍
