Now I can boop her snoot forever.

I understand this because I lost my girl a few weeks ago due to liver cancer that did metastasis to her lungs. We learned about it just 10 days before that - she seemed so healthy, it was like she got it overnight or something. We barely could do anything and I really tried to save her, I really hoped she could make it. She passed in my arms like all of a sudden after she walked after me and I picked her up.

I even haven't been able to tell someone else how I actually feel and how that last moment crushed me but how she looked so pretty and so happy just seconds before that like I never saw her before, like if somehow all her pain just vanished before she passed. I cried lots and lots and sometimes my eyes still get a bit tearful when remembering her and feeling how cruel and unfair life was to her and her mother and how I wish both of them still were around.

I just try to not think about any of that, but about how fortunate I was that the most 2 beautiful dogs were with me, her 11 years and her mother another 8. I don't even believe in afterlife, god or any of that, but I do wish there is a heaven for them and she and her mother and all of them are playing and in peace with nothing of this absurdity we call life.

Hope you too can remember all the beautiful and funny moments you two shared together.

The maintainer of X11Libre, Enrico Weigelt, is an anti-vaxer who already got scolded by Torvalds for writing bullshit on the kernel mailing list

Oh, so it's him. Dude got absolutely lucky Linus is on mild mode nowadays. On his prime the scold would've been of such epic proportions all the viruses he could have on his body would've leave him out of pure cringe.

RAM

Believe it or not due to third world issues I went with all of uni and part of my graduated life (2008-2016/17) with a crappy Intel Pavilion DV2000 which had Core2Duo and 3GB on RAM. With Gentoo. It went just fine for most daily stuff and some of my work as a graphic designer.

TIL: The ‘Perfect Aryan baby’ chosen by Hitler’s Nazi regime…was Jewish

Some 20-25 years ago on a local radio FM station they used to run a "bumper" from time to time of a narrator saying that one time in WWII Nazi Germany sent a decrepit train full of excrement, trash and whatnot to neutral Switzerland, trying to tease them and make them join the war. In rensponse Switzerland cleaned, fixed and painted the train, put fresh food and flowers and everything and sent it back to Germany and in the engine they put a giant banner reading "each one gives the best of themselves" or something like that - pretty sure that story was just a myth but at those times when I heard it I wished it was true because it was so fucking funny.

YSK the Venezuelans community in the US is not representative of Venezuelans as a whole.

It happens with almost any latin american community in the USA. It happens with almost latin american community on internet.

For example, r/Colombia or r/Bogota are huge echo chambers of daddys's boys, neoliberals and even cardboard-colored neonazis who don't have a grasp about the complexities of the country and seem to live in a bubble. i.e. they make fun of people who don't have Netflix... on a Country where less than 50% of people have internet access, not everyone has a TV and there are places where you only can tune a couple of AM radio stations.

Pretty sure something similar happens with almost every latin american country community on the internet or in a so-called "first world" country.

That being said, some Venezuelans deny criminal organizations like "Tren de Aragua" are real or that venezuelans are running them, be Maduro supporters or not. But they're real and are extorting and killing people in other countries in Latin America. This is not to say every venezuelan is a criminal, but not every venezuelan is a saint.

Our countries' reality is way, way more complex than people in the USA realize.
