Lots of people here not understanding wet bulb vs dry bulb. Wet bulb 95°F/35°C is considered the theoretical human survivability limit and is equivalent to a heat index of 160°F/71°C due to high humidity not allowing your sweat to evaporate.

In other words, it's very, very hot, bordering on unsurvivable.

I coincidentally walked past on my way to an appointment at 4p and honestly the way the place was crawling with emergency cycles made me think there was a shooting or something. Haven't seen this kind of police presence in NYC since the BLM protests in 2020.

The amount of people in the past month are also the amount of people in the past 6 months. Once the instance is older than a month, those numbers would start to be different.

My personal favs are the Met Cloisters and the Morgan Library. There are also a bunch of food tours through specific neighborhoods if you're into that.

Running shoes can definitely be the problem. It's a layer of squishy-ness between you and the ground, which counteracts the taut-ness your body will get from good form. There are tons of options for shoes that have solid, non-squishy soles, but I prefer to just go barefoot.

Different neighborhoods are known for different cultures of food, so definitely look these up and see if there's anything that interests you!
