How was coming out for you?

I'm ace/homoromantic.

Thankfully I live in a pretty queer friendly area. I never technically came out, I just brought my GF with me to Thanksgiving one year. I absolutely gave my parents a heads up, but my personal philosophy is that if I wouldn't have to come out if I was straight, I shouldn't have to come out just because I'm gay. Thankfully my parents stopped inviting the problematic parts of my family years ago, so everything went super well. I'm effectively out to everyone generally in my day to day life.

My being ace though is nobody's business except for my GF and tends to not come up in conversation lol

Are there Christian movies other than Prince of Egypt that are considered good?

What a strangely aggressive take. The old testament in Christianity is more equivalent to the Tanakh in Judaism, of which the Torah is a part. The film tells the story of one of the highest of high holidays in all of Judaism, so it does make sense to call it a Jewish movie first and foremost.

After all calling a Christmas movie Jewish just because Jesus was a Jew would be silly.

[Meta] Shoutout to my home instance Lemm.ee on it's growth! Thank you sunaurus for having such a great place to host this community

The instance has existed for longer than a week, so the month numbers are actual stats. Month and 6 month are actually the same because of the age of the server. The amount of people in the past month are also the amount of people in the past 6 months. Once the instance is older than a month, those numbers would start to be different.

Liftoff defaults to "All" as opposed to All@[Your Instance]. This is very specific to liftoff and isn't a part of other apps. Just click and select the second one from the drop-down and it'll stop giving you that message.

NYC Off The Beaten Path

Here are some suggestions:

Tours - Catacombs @ St. Patrick's Old Cathedral, Speakeasy/Prohibition Tour, Underground Railroad (multiple cool locations) Museums - Tenement Museum, Ellis Island Museum, NY Historical Society, Merchant's House Museum, Alice Austen House

If you're in Manhattan, Chelsea Market is definitely worth hitting up. Other places to check out are Chinatown (Manhattan), Greenpoint, Williamsburg, Brighton Beach (Brooklyn), Astoria, Flushing, Jackson Heights (Queens). Different neighborhoods are known for different cultures of food, so definitely look these up and see if there's anything that interests you!
