Proton is transitioning towards a non-profit structure

Ah I guess I didn't think of that use case, it being the Proton app. I think I read somewhere it's possible with the Windows client, through their Bridge software. I haven't had the need to use the Proton client for other email accounts personally.

Idk man, paying for YT premium feels like paying for an ad-free experience, not content. Like my subscription would be going to YT, not the creators who made the content.

Advice Request - Lens question

Lastly I would suggest you consider used gear.
I second this, buy used. Out of the 10 ish lenses I own, I've only bought two of them new. I almost only use my second hand gear 😅 I also bought my current camera body used, as well as my camera sling bag! There's so much money to be saved by looking at the second hand marked you wouldn't believe it.

What is your "everyday carry" camera?
My phone is an Xperia 1 VI, which takes good photos of whatever is in front of me. I was hoping the recent Fujifilm X-M5 could scratch my point-and-shoot itch, but the lack of EVF is reeeally bugging me... If it wasn't for that I would have probably picked one up, but for now I need the money more than the camera. Other than that I have a Nikon Z6 III. I wouldn't say it's an "everyday" camera but I do bring it out quite a bit with the Nikkor Z 40 mm F2. I was debating whether or not I should get the Zf or the Z6 III, and I ultimately decided on the Z6 III for the "brains" over the "soul", since I can't afford both... But man the Zf looks beautiful.

All the promo pictures are cabled. I don't have a Ploopy myself, but to me they look like they all use a cabled connection.

What popular product do you think is modern day snakeoil?

I'll give you that one. The small size is the only thing they've got going for them, in my opinion, since that makes them quicker to heat up. As for the timer function, I think most modern stoves have that? I know mine does, but I guess your mileage may vary.

I don't think I've ever seen a traditional stove that doesn't have a convection function built-in. I was shocked to learn this was not common in other regions. So for me, I just use the one that I already have, no need to buy a specialized device or take up extra counter space.

I don't live in the US so I don't have as easy access to random Android boxes like the ones on Amazon, but yeah I'll probably get one eventually. I have a Chromecast 4K, but I haven't really explored all the available apps yet. I'd love to be able to sideload apps, if I could get Grayjay on there that'd be awesome.

I really like the look of the Ploopy Classic. I use an Elecom Huge, and I love it. I grew up with a Logitech TrackMan Marble (the old school one, not the ambidextrous one) and I loved it. So the Elecom Huge is like a modern version of that old classic, and it's great for office and daily use - not so much for gaming though.

Airfryers. It's just a convection oven, but smaller.
