Took this picture of a coyote from my deck

This was a few weeks ago. Caught this guy coming out into the open looking for food. Not sure if you can see because of the reflection on the water but he is staring directly at a family of ducks that were swimming nearby.

I hear the coyotes all the time howling, but this was the first time I was able to actually see one, and I think it resulted in a pretty good picture!

Is this a cool idea for a story or video game?

The setting is earth some year wayyyy in the future.

Because of runaway global warming caused by green house gas emissions planet earth became essentially uninhabitable; a giant ball of hot gas clouds. Everybody died.

Some alien race comes exploring for resources or whatever, but when they get here they find the planet is actually inhabited by the ghosts of all the angry souls that tried to warn people about our impending doom, along with some weirdly evolved flora and fauna maybe idk.

Obviously I haven't fleshed out all the details, but it sounded like the seed of a cool idea so I wanted to share it and see what people thought before I forget I ever had it.

noob in search of tips for playing with pros

So I am trying to get into table top gaming as a hobby and I came across a local group near me that meets up every weekend to exclusively play TI. Maybe this is the wrong game to start getting into this hobby with, but it was the first group I found when searching so I joined their discord and they seem like chill people, welcoming of new players.

BUT. I have read that this game can take a very long time for a session, especially with newer players where you have to explain everything to them.

So in the interests of not slowing the group down and alleviating some of my social anxiety in the process, I thought I would ask here for some tips for new players like me.

I've watched one rtfm video on YouTube kind of explaining the rules, but I feel like that doesn't help me a lot because I learn better by actually doing the thing (and asking questions). I plan to watch a few more videos, but I want to meet up for a game soon and am honestly pretty nervous about it lol.

So yeah, any little tips I could take from here as well would be very appreciated.
