Fairphone 6 Review: The Ethical Smartphone
I've really enjoyed mine and no complaints about /e/os either. Switched from a flagship Samsung as part of an effort to de-google, and the transition has been pretty smooth.

Reddit keeps pushing on being a closed platform, now rolling out mandatory logging for old.reddit.com - worth pushing for the fediverse again?

Honestly it's been great because the login lock finally has broken my doom scrolling habit. Lemmy helps me keep a pulse on some of my interests without being a firehose of bs that was r/all. Mental health and sleep habits have been soaring lol

As someone raised evangelical, this was me before realizing my honest attempt to live and breathe the Bible were incredibly self-destructive. When your life is ruled by guilt and shame, you end up despising the things that make you human.

Probably because the blockbuster success metrics are for business people not movie buffs. Their target audiences are willing to pay more for the same number of tickets. If a movie does well in a poor country, it's a bonus.

Probably not the only distro that could do it, but I was pleasantly surprised bazzite handled my three monitors with three different refresh rates, two different resolutions, one with HDR, and one in portrait mode basically right out of the box.

I used to be terrified of the dark into my teens. At one point I got fed up of being so scared, so when I was home alone and the feeling got overwhelming, I just screamed at it as hard as I could and walked directly down a dark staircase where the feeling was coming from. It felt like my nerves were on fire for a second, but I think it helped get something to click in my brain because the feeling has never been so intense since then, and I can usually ignore it or just go look and calm down.

Hit or miss. All the big names worked fine, my local credit union doesn't, but their mobile site is functional so I just added a shortcut to an app drawer. The upside for apps is the /e/os app lounge has a tab for 'open-source' results when searching which has been nice for lifestyle apps that are simple and don't shove subscriptions in your face.
