Is there any benefit if the bank direclty takes out monthly repayments for my mortgage from my offset account instead of savings account ?
My bank allows me to choose as many accounts as I want to become offset accounts so check if that's available as an option for you. That way it'll make no difference.

Me Bank deliberately puts customers on hold for minimum of 1 hour
That's when google pixel phones 'hold for me' feature is insanely useful. Sometimes I even forget I'm on a call and on hold.
