His song literally celebrates violence and the kind of mob mentality that leads to tremendous injustice. Oh, and his music video was filmed on the site of a lynching while it threatens black protesters today. Community? Really?

Capital cases cost a ton more to prosecute and defend and there are a lot more rounds of appeals. When someone’s life is on the line, we jump through extra hoops as a society.

We had our electric bill go down by 1/4 after installing our AO Smith Signature 900. Then the heat pump broke 13 months into a 12 month labor warranty (it no longer blew cold air, so it wasn’t working). We found out nobody even fixes the heat pump part. AO Smith agreed to take it back and refunded us but we had to hire a plumber to put in another one, this time a less expensive one.

I saw three separate detail officers working with a single work crew on an overpass over a highway last week. And two of them were chatting up the construction guys. It's bad enough that this work is usually unnecessary, but they also get paid in 4 hour minimum blocks, they get to listen to airpods/be on their phones, and they're paid overtime for the privilege. It's like a mafia protection racket.

I love the rant. Titrating (pardon the pun) content to kids and having them engage properly is such a big battle.

Brother is 90% awesome, 10% infuriating. My Brother laser would blow my 15 Amp circuit. I had to move it to the basement for a 20 Amp outlet. It’s been going for 12 years since on its third toner cartridge (and I probably will never get through my current 2 pack), though the Wi-Fi printing capability won’t work with any router I’ve bought after 2015. Duplex printing, Linux, smartphone, any computer I hook up to it, no worries.

I’m surprised education is so low considering how much money people have put into automating it.

So rich people get their capital gains tax cut and estate tax cut and seniors (also a wealthy demographic) get increased circuit breaker tax credits. Poor people get higher renters tax credits. People with kids get more credits. Commuters on public transit get to write off more of their bills. And the rest of us who don’t have kids, have no public transit to our jobs, and have a mortgage get nothing.

Remember when the renter’s tax deduction was justified by there being a large deduction in federal taxes by homeowners? After Trump, I don’t get that write off anymore and neither do most middle class people. But the renters still get theirs. We just keep getting screwed.
