Started as a school project

I wouldn't take it so seriously, it's a passion project from a person learning about Rust and OS structure. Don't compare this project against industry professionals.

I was using Lenovo's handheld a few weeks before release and was really impressed by the specs until I turned it on and it was windows and I made an audible laugh. They were saying I had no idea what I was talking about and how windows was the future of handheld gaming. Which made me laugh some more, guess who's making a SteamOS handheld now?

I disagree with the sentiment that the music scene is getting worse, we are getting more content than ever but it's also much more discoverable, searchable and groupable.

I was just at an insane EDM festival the other day and all artists there were up and coming 25-30 y/o, people who are touring Europe doing gigs all over the place. They were selected because they are amazing DJ's with their own style, playlist and original songs.

Finding music, an artist or even an album you enjoy is just as hard as it used to be, but go into a local record shop, a local venue and ask them what bands you should check out, you'll see the same spirit people had 20-30 years ago going to gigs.

You know what I think Mr Beato? I think you are heavily out of touch with the modern music scene.

That's why I always tell people to stop 'looking', that's just desperate and off-putting. Friendships will turn into relationships if its meant to be.

Usually in a democracy the people are represented by parties which they align most with. In my country I can vote for one of seven, which get proportionally represented by a number of seats in parliament. The winning party rarely has more than 50% of the vote, if they do, all the losing parties will become the opposition, and if they don't they have to combine with another party to have at least 50% of the votes. This assures that the winning party or coalition still has to negotiate their position and decisions every single day. If one party would want the power the current administration in the US has they would probably need 80 or 90% of the votes.

Is it complicated? Yes. Does it make sure the people are represented? Also yes.

In the US if a state votes 51% one way, 100% of the electoral votes go to that party, causing a reality where a party could get less than a majority vote and still win. This alone is proof that the people are not fairly represented and isn't a fair democracy. In local elections you'll have a much more nuanced choice but at a federal level it's antiquated to say the least.

I will say that in a fair democracy, you should vote for your representative, in the US you have no such choice. Be it by living in one state counts as more than another, or the fact that a third party has little to no representation post election.
