I have a couple of packages that have been marked as "out for delivery" only to be rescheduled for the next day, four days in a row. The reason is "severe weather". I understand that being valid the first, and maybe the second day...but four days?

I'm currently using Authelia to authenticate for some of my self hosted services. It works fine, but the limited user backends (ldap or... yaml??) make me want to look for an alternative.

Authentik seems good, but after looking at their website I get the feeling of imminent enshitification, where they're going to either pull the rug on the open source version, or basically gatekeep essential features behind an enterprise license.

So, for those using Authentik, how has your experience been so far?

I'm building an electronic device that needs a button, and I really want it to be a silicone pad like the ones you find on midi controllers.

I had assumed it would be easy to buy one, but I haven't been able to find it. I feel like I'm googling the wrong thing. I've found some assemblies with multiple buttons, but I only want one.

Ideally, I want a a complete assembly with the circuit board and the button. Something that is ready to wire like a regular push button. Any ideas where to find one?

I have a larger than average nose. Specifically, I think the bridge of my nose is too wide. This means that most safety glasses sit up too high on my face, and leave a gap below my eyes that is unprotected. Do you have any recommendations for safety glasses that might fit me better?

I was going to buy a new one, but decided to try and fix it. I just had to replace a $7 capacitor, and it worked! I might still replace it anyway (maybe next year), since I hate the hum of AC fans.

My woodworking shop lives in my 2 car garage. I have several large-ish machines, like a sawstop PCS, a 12" jointer and a dust extraction system.

I'm in the US. I'm currently in the process of selling my house and moving to a different state 2000 miles away. I'm dreading having to move my woodshop. My main concern is those large machines getting damaged in transit. I plan to use pods for the move.

So, people who have gone through a similar move, do you have any tips? How did you pack large/heavy machines?

I've tried watching this show for a long time, and even though I really liked it, for some reason or another the furthest I got to after restarting it a couple of times was season 4.

This time, I started watching it again with my partner and discovered a whole new appreciation for it. Since I already knew the story, I was able to focus more on the characters and some other details.

The writing really is remarkable, everything is well thought out. With most shows, I get to a point where I lose the immersion because of sloppy writing, but with BCS, I found myself fully immersed in the story and emotionally invested in the characters. There is always a plausible explanation for what happens on the screen.

The ending was brilliant. That last scene where the camera pans in front of the corner of the building until you can't see Jimmy's face anymore had a big impact on me. It felt like melancholic acceptance? Or at least that's what I think Jimmy was feeling, and that mood stayed with me hours after the episode ended.

I thought BrBa was amazing, but BCS surpassed it.
