I am so lucky I was a dunce when it came to people skills when I was first entering the job market. I couldn't get a job at a grocery market. Always in the back running machines. Worked out pretty good actually.

Idiot took advice from another idiot and is in shambles. I feel bad for all the staff that worked for years expecting a big pay day, but that day was never coming. I don't see how anyone can make money off of reddit like experience and not destroy it.

And for those of us that did buy a Tesla that chump has made it harder to get rid of it.

Digg tried to make money off it's communities ASAP and killed it. Reddit tried the slow burn: build up users for 15 years and then pull the rug. It's hard making money from a site that has all it's users do the work. The only value reddit has is automated infra, which in the days of auto scaling k8s clusters is not that unique.

My 13th birthday in 1993 where I got a SNES bundle with Super Mario World and Mario Kart and two controllers, McDonald's for lunch, and the we watched the Lion King in theaters. Doesn't seem like much, but we were a poor family. Best day ever.
