[Defect] inbox only shows most recent 10 messages
Pretty much as the title says. When I click on inbox, it only shows the most recent 10 messages.

is it likely that embedded videos will ever be a part of the lemmy experience?
One of the only things I find myself missing about reddit is the videos. I'm aware that it's not really feasible for videos to be hosted on a lemmy instance at the moment, but I'm curious if that might change
[Defect] after a certain point, comment chains just get cut off.
I've noticed a few times that a long comment chain will eventually just cut off and only show the first few comments in the chain.
I'll get a notification that I got a new message but it's impossible to read in the chain. I can only read it from my inbox and it's impossible to respond to. There might be other comments along with mine but I'll never see them unless I go into another app or the browser window
[Defect] can only view 10 messages in my inbox
When I go to my inbox and filter by 'all' I'm only able to see my most recent 10 messages. I should be able to see all of them. Anybody else having this problem?
[Feature Request] hiding posts from Local/Subscribed/All shouldn't hide the post from within the actual community
When I'm scrolling through the main pages I want to hide read posts so after I refresh they go away. The problem is, doing this basically deletes that post from you forever.
What I would love is to have the post only hidden from the main screen, not from within the community itself. For instance, if I'm browsing from Local and I see a post from c/memes, I don't want to see it again when I'm browsing Local, but I do want to see it if I go to c/memes.
What does your 'home' instance really matter?
One thing I'm not clear about is the impact my home instance has on me. I joined lemmy.world and am currently using the connect for lemmy app. I know when I sort by Local it will only show me posts from lemmy.world, but beyond that are there any things to keep in mind?
I have read that lemmy.world has been hit by DDoS attacks but I've never had any problem using connect for Lemmy during those times as far as I know.
