Kodi 21.0 "Omega" - Release

Xbian is like this too, for Raspberry Pi SBC’s. Kodi keeps getting faster, smoother, more stable, better…all the good things. And it’s brilliant if you still have a non-smart tv and are inclined to sail the open seas flying a Jolly Roger.

Fuck ads at the gas pump
Reply in thread
Costco has no ads for the time being, and I can’t see it going with ads because they can only slow the sale of gasoline that people already line up for after paying to access the ability to buy it.

Salt, air and bricks: could this be the future of energy storage?
I’m loving that we are finally embracing energy abundance, or looking at starting to embrace it, and to switch over from hydrocarbon usage in favour of electricity. Tesla would be proud.

Iirc for the tv remote to work all you need to do is make sure your CEC options are correct in settings. I use an app on my phone - easier to type searches in.

Where to download X-plane flight simulator?
Buy the software. I tried the crack for a while at first too, but then I realized the problems I was encountering were directly related to the crack. (This is a number of releases ago) Back in the day they would ship you the DVR to install. Now I think steam is the only way.

NSA ’just days from taking over the internet’ warns Edward Snowden
Alarmist, inflammatory, clickbait or truth? I always have to wonder if back doors are already built-in to be exploited or whether the NSA has a burden of proof to establish why it needs access like this. But what troubles me more is if this creeps beyond the US’ borders and the 5-7-14-20+ Eyes countries will follow suit (or have already implemented their own versions)?

Ukraine says eastern front has 'deteriorated significantly'
Waitasecond -
Can Russia afford to defend its western front in Ukraine AND try to attack the US through Iran via Israel? What’s going to happen with the US when China cranks things up in Taiwan?
https://www.cnn.com/2024/04/12/politics/china-russia-support-weapons-manufacturing/index.html
These are the forces in play here from where I sit. Where in this world these plays are happening is irrelevant, because it’s the good ol’ free capitalist vs commies game still happening because economics and distraction from troubles at home.

Is there any point not using WhatsApp if I use Instagram already?
Using any of the so-called “Magnificent 7” puts you “on the radar,” so no, there’s no point avoiding WhatsApp if you’re already Meta’d up with Insta.

Say it bluntly: The president just moved heaven and earth
I’m so sorry, but I don’t much care. I stopped paying attention to all the political fiddling when Rome started to burn during the “walking humidor” scandal decades ago. Things just keep getting torn down and added to the dumpster fire. Out with the old and in with the new world power, I say.
