‘It’s too late’: David Suzuki says the fight against climate change is lost

I don't know this David, but fuck them.
Next time I'll read the article before knee jerking. As it turns out, they don't say it's too late to act, rather that it's too late to still count on changes from the political and economical domination structures.
Leaving the rest here because it's still true.

Climate change isn't an on/off switch, it's something that can always be made better or worse by increments.

Yes we're going over 1.5°C and almost surely over 2°, world is gonna become hell for hundreds of millions of people (usually those least responsible for climate change) as it has already for dozens millions.
But we're still better at 2.2 than 2.3. Or at 3.7 than 3.8. Or 3.0 than 3.1.
Humanity's survival is not at stake, but the lives of countless people are. If by our action we can reduce the number of people sufdering/dying from climate change even by 0.0001%, it's still worth the fucking fight.

TLDR: never too late to go vegan, stop traveling by plane or bombing oil companies exec offices and cars.~~

This is crazy. What kind of barbarian doesn't properly format contacts in a standardized and civilized way?!?

If he doesn't change it to "WORTMAN, Jennifer" very soon, that's ground for divorce.

Nazi Germany loses the plot

Didn't click on the link but based on the last 8 years, anything Macron says has a strong probability of being dogshit made to sound plausible and appealing to the end user.
We had chatgpt as president before chatgpt was the hype.
So whatever he wrote on the nazi social network, take it with a huge pinch of salt.

‘Please walk away from Harry Potter’: why the stars of HBO’s new TV show are in for decades of social media hell

Thanks for voicing your disagreement. While I happily engage in this discussion, I believe your initial argument is somewhat lacking.

I believe there are two major differences between Edison and Rowling:

  1. In my opinion, we can all without Rowling's writings (there is a lot of better fantasy out there for everyone) but we rely on a lot of technology attributed to Edison in our daily lives and not using them would be next to impossible (at least for me)
  2. AFAIK using techs attributed by Edison doesn't contribute to his personnal wealth or help him push a transphobic and generally far-right agenda

What do you think ?

Isn't that part of the grift?

At the time it looked like one of the main reasons to launch Starlink was to provide SpaceX with a new market, much larger than the usual space launching stuff. Also this meant Felon could get subsidies through 2 different companies.
