It will be interesting to see where things stand in a few days and whether it’s causing ongoing pain to Reddit. I doubt they will comment until and if there’s a risk of ongoing, widespread blackouts.

Reddit is telling their community, their staff, and the media to all shut up. The very three groups they rely on for their continued survival. It’s breathtaking.

The fact that all of Huffman and Reddit’s claims are so easily debunked is honestly a sad and sorry state.

Great to see. I recommended Mlem elsewhere and a Lemming start up with some anti-woke nonsense. It’s honestly baffling, most of us are just thrilled to see so many early Lemmy apps being developed and want to help out.

I just searched for a topic, found a community, sorted by new, swiped to upvote a post, and then swiped to reply. It was genuinely the first Lemmy interaction I’ve had (including native web) that felt completely intuitive.

So far the Dev (who has/is active on Mastodon) has said he’s not immediately planning on developing Apollo for the fediverse. Which I can understand, he must feel pretty burnt, and probably burnt out. He’s a nice dude, I really wish the best for him whatever he chooses to do next.
